This is a big day for all of us...I don't know who is more excited...
Mommy was up early and ready to go. Lucas was extremely excited too - that is, after he got over the whole idea of waking up in the dark. Daddy drove him to school, and mommy and Eva met them there. You know, we had to do all of the embarrassing things, like take photos, give extra hugs and kisses. (I have a feeling he won't want us to do this every year, you think?)
As you can see, Lucas wears a uniform to school. Lucas refers to these as his "handsome clothes" (as he does to any clothes that are not super comfy.) And, he definitely makes a point to untuck the shirt and take off the belt immediately after school.
He has a great teacher and a perfect size class of nine students.
School started on the 18th, so we are now in our third week, and things are going pretty well. We do have issues with getting ready in the morning though. Lucas tends to take his time no matter what time it is...but we always leave with a smile on our face!
Or at least most of the time...
Lucas has PE on Tuesdays and chapel on Thursdays. Mommy thinks he looks great in his chapel outfit, or should I say "handsome."
We are so proud of our little guy. He is doing well and loving school. However, on one of his school assignments, he wrote that his favorite day of the week is Friday...he catches on fast.

Oh we love it!!! School, uniforms and Eva to wish him well. What more could Lucas ask for. Of course, he has the bestest Daddy and Mommy. We love you guys so enjoy these special times as they pass quickly.
