South Seas here we come!

At the end of July we went on a family vacation! Woohoo! It was a much anticipated trip with daddy on the road so much this summer.

So, we packed up the car and headed north to Captiva Island. Mark and I have not been to South Seas in about 10 years, so it was fun to revisit.


Along the way, we stopped at an old familiar place and a new favorite of the kids...the Lazy Flamingo.


Just as we remembered, the island and the resort are still so beautiful, even after a few hurricanes.


The kids loved it all.

Lucas mastered the art of playing frisbee.


And, Eva tried to master the art of climbing a tree (looks like her mommy oh so many years ago).


They even had a nature center where we could visit the animals native to the area...turtles, birds, hermit crabs, iguanas and guinea pigs.






It was by far our best vacation ever. We look forward to many more to come! Thanks daddy!
